International Masters of Business Administration

Our flagship ‘International MBA’ is a career development programme that focuses on preparing tomorrow’s aspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders to actively engage with, and navigate the continuingly changing and often disruptive factors within the global market place.

Why study this subject?

The themes of business resilience and sustainability – played within a contextual learning backdrop of global unpredictability – are central elements to our flagship postgraduate programme.

Why study at Buckinghamshire New University?

As a BNU student you can benefit from a range of postgraduate support, for example help with developing new business ideas.

You will also be supported by our Careers and Employability Service, mentoring scheme, and our network of academics, as well as our international partners.

What will I study?

From international finance to marketing strategy, and digital leadership to project management, by the end of the programme you will have developed a strategic, integrated and holistic perspective on organisations and management. You will be confident in your leadership capabilities, and be prepared for senior management career advancement.

How will I be taught and assessed?

The course is designed to meet your study preferences and runs across 12-15 months (depending on if you start in September or February) with personal development and research skills being an integral theme throughout.

During the remaining months you will be required to deliver a work-based learning project, consultancy project and dissertation all while on a commercial placement.

What are the course entry requirements?

Applicants to the International MBA will normally have obtained an Honours degree (or equivalent) which can be in a diversity of subject disciplines or professions.

If your first language is not English or your language of instruction at undergraduate level was not English you be required to demonstrate English proficiency at an overall score of IELTS level 6.5 (or its equivalent) and no score below 6.0 in any category.

In keeping with the nature of MBAs across many other institutions, the programme specification will retain some flexibility to enable senior and experienced students who lack formal academic qualifications to be considered e.g. via portfolio preparation and interview.
